Oddly enough, Lollipop Media began after years of walking away from it.

Lollipop Media began long before we ever called it a business. I grew up watching her aunt work in her film studio, falling in love with the darkroom, the chemistry, and the quiet magic of creating images by hand. By high school I was developing film, building cameras, and later working at ProEx, where I printed photos and helped families preserve their memories. At sixteen, I photographed my first wedding on film — and the spark was undeniable. Life pulled me in other directions for a while, until Ricky found my old photos and encouraged me to pick up a camera again.

Ricky’s story started on a U.S. Army base in Panama, where a simple camcorder meant for his sister became his first love. He spent his childhood filming everyday moments, eventually growing into a lead video specialist for a church in New Mexico. After I dove back into photography, Ricky eventually joined my side with his video camera.

Together, our passion for photo and film isn’t something we stumbled into — it’s been woven into our lives since childhood. Lollipop Media is the natural continuation of that lifelong love for storytelling.
